As you may be aware, the G7 summit is due to commence in Cornwall tomorrow up until Monday 14th June. As of today there is many road closures and diversions due to the heightened security in the surrounding areas.
Several specific locations have extremely tight security which completely removes our ability to collect and deliver from them, these are: Carbis Bay Hotel, Discovery Quey (Falmouth), Cornwall Newquey Airport and RAF St Mawgan. Following recommendations from the Local Police and Cornwall County Council, we will also not be attempting deliveries and collections in the following post codes: TR8, TR11 and TR26 between Thursday 10th June and Saturday 12th June. Any deliveries shipped for these post codes will be held and begin delivering from Monday 14th June.
The Police have also decided to close the bridges over the A30 which will affect deliveries into TR14, TR16 & TR27, delays are expected in delivery to these postcodes.
Once normal service resumes to all post codes it is expected to be up to a 5 day delay in deliveries. Please take this under consideration when shipping any parcels to the area, especially anything time sensitive or perishable.
