Swift Despatch was awarded the Regional Courier Company of the Year 2006/7 in May 2007 by the National Courier Association as voted by the members of the Association for the high quality of service provided during the year. It has been shortlisted for this award every year since, coming runner up on a number of occasions.
In February 2006 Mr Friery the company’s MD was made a Founding Fellow of the Institute of Couriers at a ceremony in the House of Lords. He was one of only two fellows from outside the South East that this honour was bestowed upon. It was made in recognition of his exceptional professional skills, knowledge and contribution to the Sameday Delivery Industry. Two years later he was followed into the Institute by Swift Despatch Director of Operations Mark Davies, who had the fellowship bestowed upon him by Lord Falkland, the Institutes President.
